Rules

There are only two rules.

1. Be respectful. Of other fans, of actors at the stage door, of museum and restaurant staff, and of the Parisians whose city we're invading. Do not be creepy to actors, follow the rules of the museums, don't demand that random passers-by speak English to you, and do not bully or harass other fans for any reason.

2. Don't let others get away with being disrespectful. If somebody crosses the line, let them know their behavior is unacceptable tell them to cut it out. Be proactive. If things get genuinely out of control, the behavior is directed towards you, or someone seems to be acting with malicious intent rather than misplaced enthusiasm, find a group organizer and we will step in.

Since the Les Mis fandom is fairly laid-back, this will hopefully be enough to keep anyone from getting too carried away. However, for it to work it is essential that we be self-policing, and that you call people out on any bad behavior instead of assuming someone else will do it. If someone truly becomes a problem they will be ejected from any group activities.

Group Identification

As a visual marker, members of the group are encouraged to wear tricolor sashes or cockades à la the barricade boys in the musical, and/or name tags with one's name or fandom alias. This is not by any means required, but it will help us stick together.

Where do you get a tricolor sash? Well, you can make your own; they're pretty simple. Later on there will probably be fans making and selling sashes for the meetup and their contact information will be listed here.

If you're interested in making sashes for other fans, contact us and we can go over the details together.
