The Cloister of Saint-Merry

Metro stop: Hôtel de Ville
Notes: It was here, in the tangle of alleys and medieval streets surrounding the 16th-century church of Saint-Merry, that the real revolt of 1832 was centered. Hugo was particularly inspired by the honor and idealism of Charles Jeanne, head of the insurgents.
